UNILAG Confucius Institute to hold annual Chinese Culture Month

The Confucius Institute, University of Lagos, has announced plans for this year’s Chinese Culture Month. The annual event will hold on Monday, May 3, 2021 through Friday, May 28, 2021.

The Chinese Culture Month is an opportunity to have first-hand experience of the Chinese culture. According to organisers, participants will enjoy Chinese food, arts and crafts, calligraphy, songs, poems, and other elements of the beautiful culture of China.

Activities slated to hold during the 4-week event will occur between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Participants are expected to wear masks, maintain social distancing, and comply with other  COVID-19 protocols.

Established in 2009, the Confucius Institute is a non-profit organization that promotes the teaching of Chinese language and culture. It offers Chinese language courses for students and organises language and cultural activities between China and Nigeria

The Confucius Institute Building is located behind the UNILAG Faculty of Arts Building.
